Jay Schlaks, from the age of 16, began his first mail order business buying and selling collectible coins. He has written extensively on investing and has led seminars in real estate, finance, and mortgage banking. Over the past 3 decades, his professional life placed him inside systems most people only glimpse from a distance—markets, institutions, and government power.

He is an international business broker, entrepreneur, and author of Border of the Law, a nonfiction memoir based on his personal experience with criminal indictments, interstate pursuit, and a thirteen-year extradition battle extending from the United States to New Zealand.        

During that period he was officially listed as “Armed and Dangerous Fugitive,” and the proceedings that followed permanently altered the course of his life.
